
A cosy, stranded accessories collection of mitts, cowl and hat.
The mitts were originally published in Knit Now Issue 25 in August 2013 in one size. The matching hat is designed in three sizes and the medium sized hat has two options for the main band. The cowl has various options given in the pattern to personalise the sizing.
The corrugated ribbing is given as both charts and written instructions. The main stranded colourwork is charted only.
The complete Heart in my Hands collection of hat, cowl and mitts can be worked from one skein (450m) of each colour of suggested yarn.
Suggested Yarn: Erika Knight Wool Local (100% Wool, 450m/100g), Cathy (MC1), Ted (MC2), Fairfax (CC)
Needles: 3.25mm circular needles, 40cm, AND/or dpns (or size to obtain tension) AND 3mm circular needles, 40cm, AND/or DPNS (or one size smaller than that to obtain tension)
Notions: 8 (9,10) stitch markers, including 1 contrasting to mark beginning of round (BOR), Tapestry needle, Balloon or similar for blocking hat, Waste yarn for thumb stitches on mitts
