

Little sister to Elinor Hap Shawl, Marianne is a half hap constructed with a bottom up central triangle, deep border and knitted on edging. There are no seams to sew as each section is worked off the previous one.
In the three colour version, each section is worked in a different colour, highlighting the three traditional lace stitches used.

Meterage used: All except 6m of the Socks Yeah! yarn was used at this tension. In order to knit a tension swatch and to allow for slight differences in tension you are likely to need a 4th skein.
Needle size: 3.75 mm (US 5) 120cm circular needle
Gauge: 10cm2 = 18sts x 32 rows over Chart 1 Smiling Diamonds pattern after blocking (17 sts x 30 rows while pins in place)
Notions: 3 stitch markers
Size: Block to 170 cm wingspan, 94 cm to point. This relaxes to 166cm x 88cm once pins are removed.
