Reaching Out

Reaching Out is a relaxed fit top-down sweater in 9 sizes designed with about 10cm of positive ease. It is worked in the round with a yoke construction that merges into raglan shaping after the yoke patterning. Stocking stitch highlights the slip-stitch pattern on the yoke, border and cuffs, and the sweater is finished with a ribbed neckband.

Sizes: To fit UK sizes 8 – 22 with finished bust circumference from 91 to 120cm.

Yarn Weight: Worsted

Suggested Yarn: Cambrian CIC DK (100% Welsh Wool, 100m/50g); MC (Cegin), 8 (8, 9, 9, 10, 10, 10, 11) balls; CC1 (Hafan), 2 balls (all sizes); CC2 (Shale), 2 balls (all sizes)

Needles: 4.5mm (US 7) 60cm-long circular needle, or size to achieve tension AND 4.5mm (US 7) dpns (or preferred needles for small circumference knitting), or size to achieve tension

Notions: 4 stitch markers (1 contrasting), 2 locking stitch markers, Waste yarn, Tapestry needle

Tension: 10cm = 20.5 sts X 27 rnds over stocking stitch worked in the round
