This dramatic cowl was our second MKAL with Yarn O’clock released in Feb-March 2019. Lots of people took part and trusted us even though they had no idea what they were making! The cowl is worked flat from the top down and seamed afterwards.
Yarn Weight: 4ply, Lace
Suggested Yarns: John Arbon Textiles Exmoor Sock (85% Exmoor blueface, 15% nylon, 400m/100g), 1 skein (cream) or Rowan Fine Lace (80% alpaca, 20% merino, 400m/50g), 1 ball (red)
or 400m of any 4-ply or laceweight yarn

Needles: 4mm (US 6), 30cm straight or 60cm circular
Notions: 4 stitch markers, Cable needle, Tapestry needle for seam
Tension: 10cm = 20 sts x 36 rows over garter st after blocking
Size once seamed: 52cm circumference at top, 110cm circumference at widest point x 38cm long
