Pride Flag Knitting Workshop
Cancelled – this workshop has been cancelled by the venue due to lack of bookings.
I’m leading a knitting workshop at Qube in Oswestry next month as part of Oswestry Pride and we’re going to be knitting pride flags!
The workshop is Thursday June 13th, 2.30-4.30pm and costs £20 per person. All yarn is supplied (West Yorkshire Spinners’ ColourLab DK, a 100% wool), bring 4mm needles if you have them or you can use ours. You can book through Qube’s website.
The workshop is suitable for a range of knitting experience: there is a flag suitable for beginners (pic 2, garter stitch stripes), one for those who want to experiment with texture (pic 4, stocking with a moss stitch border), and two for those who want to try intarsia (pics 1 & 3).
The stocking stitch with moss stitch border patterns (pics 3 & 4) come from Knit Picks’ blog, where they published a whole range of pride flags last June, and the garter stitch patterns (pics 1 & 2) come from me.
