Yarnies at the Flaxmill, 2nd May 2026

Join us at Shrewsbury Flaxmill Maltings for a day dedicated to celebrating the beauty and creativity of fibre. Whether you knit, crochet, spin, weave or simply love being surrounded by colourful yarn, this is one for the diary.

Browse hand-dyed yarns, spinning fibres, beautiful tools and unique accessories. Meet talented indie dyers, chat with fellow yarnies and discover inspiration for your next project.

Enjoy demonstrations throughout the day, soak up the atmosphere of this incredible historic venue and perhaps add a few new skeins to your stash.

There are also workshops on the day for the first time:

• Knitted Mitred Squares with Clare Atfield

• Stranded Colourwork Knitting with Kath Andrews

Workshop tickets must be purchased in advance via Eventbrite and include entry into the Dye House where the yarn show is held. 

Whether you’re a seasoned maker or just yarn-curious, you’ll be warmly welcomed.
