A traditional garter stitch square hap shawl with a central panel, deep border and knitted on edging. ‘Big sister’ to Marianne Half Hap Shawl.

This pattern uses traditional old lace stitch patterns to create a large, spectacular shawl that is sure to get you noticed (It certainly got a lot of attention at Wonderwool Wales 2019!)

Yarn Weight: Lace

Suggested yarn: Any laceweight yarn. 3 x 800m/100g skeins or 2 x 1200m/100g skeins

Gauge: 10cm = 22sts x 38 rows over Central Panel Smiling Diamonds pattern after blocking (18 sts x 36 rows while pins in place)
